Content Development for OhmIQ
The Problem:
OhmIQ, a Charleston-based technology and engineering start-up, developed proprietary algorithms designed to revolutionize the world of liquid heating. The company needed a suite of original content, including press releases, blogs, articles, and social media copy, to support its brand awareness and attract new customers.
The Strategy:
Our main priority was to get to know the people who developed the product and tell OhmIQ’s story in their own words. We developed content calendars spanning the calendar year, and we worked with company stakeholders to map out priorities and storylines that supported new initiatives.
The Tactics:
Each content pillar was based on a concept. Whether it was focused on OhmIQ’s technology, local thought leadership, or niche use cases for their products, we strived to take a creative and unique approach to each storyline.
From there, we interviewed team members who could speak to each topic. If the topic was newsworthy, we began by drafting a press release. Then, we either spun off the release or developed a wholly unique article to be published on the company’s website. Finally, we broke down each piece of content into digestible captions to be shared on LinkedIn.
The Results:
All of our content efforts culminated in a ribbon-cutting event for the organization’s new lab. The organization saw a spike in website views the week of the event, in addition to a 37% increase in LinkedIn followers. We look forward to continuing our content and PR partnership with OhmIQ this year.
